How long does it take to get electronically fingerprinted?

It typically takes about 10 minutes from the time you are called, until all of your fingerprints have been captured.

What information do I need to have my fingerprints done?

You need a valid state or federally issued form of identification so we can prove your identity. A valid driver’s license or passport is acceptable. You will also need the ORI# or Agency code for submission. Your employer should provide the code.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept any major credit card or debit card and cash. If paying with cash, please bring the exact amount. A receipt will be provided to you.

How long does it take for the agency to receive the results of my background screening?

Fingerprints are typically received by the requesting agency or organization within 3-5 business days. Note: Results are dependent upon processing times of FDLE, FBI, and AHCA, which are subject to change.

What are the fees for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Background Screening Services?

Our fee is $30 and the process takes less than 10 minutes to complete from the time called.

What is the cost of a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Background Check?

FBI background checks include a summary of your criminal history. It’s a summary of an individual’s criminal history or activity, and is frequently referred to as a “rap sheet.” Information used in the report is obtained through federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. An FBI background check goes back for the entire applicant’s lifetime. It should be noted that while any company can require a background check as a condition of potential employment, only you can request a copy of your criminal history summary from the FBI.

Live Scan Fingerprinting Service

Live Scan fingerprinting is the process of capturing fingerprints electronically for submission to specific agencies, archiving, or fingerprint card printing. There is no ink involved in providing a live scan fingerprinting service. Florida Training Academy staff members use custom-built live scan machines to roll your fingerprints across a glass screen. This screen captures the sequence of your fingerprints and displays them on a computer screen. Live Scan fingerprinting is a preferred method for most of our clients. The advantage of live scan fingerprinting provides a much more clear image of your fingerprints and reduces the chance for prints to be denied by any agency or department.

The Agency for Health Care Administration, or AHCA, is responsible for licensing and regulating Florida’s health care facilities. Fingerprints will be submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for the purposes of a Level 2 screening for individuals seeking employment in various healthcare settings regulated by AHCA, such as assisted living facilities, home health agencies, hospitals, etc. under the ORI# EAHCA020Z.
