Frequently asked questions

Group CPR training FAQs

Answers to common questions from employers, schools and organization leaders planning onsite CPR training.

How many participants do we need for an onsite class?

Florida Training Academy requires a minimum of eight participants to schedule an onsite group CPR class. If you have fewer than eight people, our open-enrollment schedule may be a better option.

Where does Florida Training Academy travel?

We travel to qualifying group-training locations throughout Florida and Georgia. Availability and travel fees depend on the address, instructor schedule, course length, equipment needs and other logistics.

Are travel fees included in the course price?

Travel fees apply to onsite classes and are quoted separately or clearly identified in your proposal. The amount is based on your location and the logistics required to serve your group.

How is group CPR training priced?

Your quote is based on the selected course, participant count, location, course materials, schedule and number of instructors or sessions needed. Contact us with your details for an accurate proposal.

Can CPR certification be completed entirely online?

Not always. Virtual instruction or online components may be available, but a course that requires demonstrated CPR or AED skills may also require an approved, in-person skills session. We will explain the available format before you book.

Do you offer both AHA and HSI courses?

Group options may include American Heart Association and Health & Safety Institute programs. Tell us the exact card your employer or licensing agency requires so we can help you choose the appropriate course.

Does the instructor bring training equipment?

Yes. The instructor brings the planned course-training equipment. Your organization is responsible for providing a clean, suitable room with enough open space for the group to practice safely.

Can we request an evening or weekend class?

You may include weekday, evening or weekend preferences in your quote request. Scheduling is subject to instructor availability, travel requirements and the selected course format.

When do participants receive their course cards?

Course-card timing depends on the issuing organization, successful completion of all course requirements and processing. Your quote or booking confirmation will explain the expected process for the selected course.

What happens if someone misses the class?

Contact us as soon as possible. When an appropriate course and seat are available, the participant may be able to attend an open-enrollment class at our Jacksonville location. Course requirements and additional fees may apply.
