Hands-on medication administration skills review for students who have completed Florida Training Academy’s 6-Hour Online Medication Technician Course.

Students must complete Florida Training Academy’s 6-Hour Online Medication Technician Course before registering for the in-person skills training.
- Students must provide proof of completion from Florida Training Academy.
- We do not accept certificates of completion from outside medication technician courses.
- This in-person training is not a standalone course.
About This Hands-On Skills Training
Our In-Person Medication Technician Skills Training is designed to help students build confidence with basic medication administration skills in a supervised classroom setting. This class is ideal for students who have completed the online course and want additional practice before working in assisted living, home care, adult day care, group homes, or other healthcare support settings.
Students will review medication safety, documentation, infection control, communication, resident rights, and common medication assistance procedures.
Basic Medication Administration Skills Covered
Vital Signs Overview Included
Students will also receive a basic vital signs review to help them understand patient safety before, during, and after medication assistance.
- Temperature
- Pulse
- Respirations
- Blood Pressure
- Oxygen Saturation
- Pain Level
- Recognizing vital signs that may be outside the normal range
- Understanding why vital signs may be important before assisting with certain medications
