Students must complete Florida Training Academy’s 6-Hour Online Medication Technician Course before registering for the in-person skills training.
Our In-Person Medication Technician Skills Training is designed to help students build confidence with basic medication administration skills in a supervised classroom setting. This class is ideal for students who have completed the online course and want additional practice before working in assisted living, home care, adult day care, group homes, or other healthcare support settings.
Students will review medication safety, documentation, infection control, communication, resident rights, and common medication assistance procedures.
Students will also receive a basic vital signs review to help them understand patient safety before, during, and after medication assistance.

This skills training is for educational and practice purposes. Students must always follow their employer’s policies, job description, state regulations, and approved scope of practice. Medication technicians should never perform tasks they have not been trained, approved, or authorized to complete.
