CPR in Schools

CPR for High School Students, Teachers & School Staff

Florida Training Academy’s Jacksonville office provides CPR training in Duval, Clay, Baker & Nassau Counties.

Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law that will require students at public high schools to take CPR training to graduate. According to the new legislation, ninth and 11th graders will have to take a one-hour CPR course.

Florida Training Academy will provide FREE knowledge-only CPR courses to local high school students. The knowledge-only course will teach CPR and AED use for adults, children, infants and how to assist a choking victim. The training meets the Florida requirements. However, the “optional” certification cards will be an additional fee.

If certifications are desired, discounted student rate of $35 per CPR certification will be given to public and private school students in Duval (DCPS), Clay, Nassau, and Baker Counties.

If CPR & AED certifications are desired for educators and school staff, the discounted rate of $45 will be given to public and private school staff in Duval (DCPS), Clay, Nassau, and Baker Counties.

A nominal travel fee may be charged to the school for the FREE knowledge-only CPR course to offset the cost of fuel, PPE, and cleaning products.

Florida Training Academy has affiliated instructors throughout Florida. So, please contact Florida Training Academy if your school needs CPR training in the state of Florida.
